1-Year Builder Warranty

1-Year Builder Warranty Home Inspection NJ

Happy 1st Birthday to your New Home (time for a check up)

We hope you have been enjoying your new NJ home! Just prior to the expiration of your one year builder home warranty, we encourage you to have a complete home inspection. It is amazing what we find and how many issues need attention on a house that is only one year old!

You may as well take full advantage of your builder’s requirement to repair systems and components during the first year. Clear Choice Home Inspections can help you maximize this opportunity by offering a complete inspection; just as thorough as we would on a home sale.

You will receive an inspection report with photos which you can turn over directly to your builder. A one year home inspection almost always pays for itself by offsetting the amount of warranty work that needs to be done.

Our home inspection process, done in accordance with the New Jersey Home Inspector’s Licensure Board standards, includes the following plus additional tests / evaluations not required by the Licensure Board:

  • Home structural components
  • Roof (including all penetrations such as skylights)
  • Roof vents, flashings and trim
  • Exterior Siding
  • Gutters and downspouts
  • Decks, porches, walkways and their railings
  • Site grading and drainage
  • Foundations, crawlspaces and basements
  • Signs of water penetration and foundation movement
  • Heating and cooling system tests
  • Main water shut-off valves
  • Water heating system
  • Plumbing, fixtures and faucets
  • Exterior water spigots (leak test done)
  • Functional flow of water (test well pump)
